Best pubs in Yerevan

Wine Republic is a real find for wine lovers. The atmosphere and interior fit the name perfectly — it feels as though I've visited a true Republic of Wine. The main attraction is the wine box, which you can walk into and explore the different wines! The restaurant has two sections, Armenian and Asian; the only difference is the interior, and you can order dishes from either menu. My personal favourite is the crème brûlée: as it turns out, it's hard to find in Yerevan. That alone is a reason to come here.

If you're walking along Saryan Street on a hot day, I recommend dropping into In Vino, a wine bar and shop. First, it isn't hot inside, thanks to the wine being kept at a set temperature and the high ceilings. Second, the range of wines from all over the world is incredible — it felt like visiting a collector who knows the taste of every one of them. A lovely surprise was finding a French alcohol-free wine that, oh my, tastes like wine, without the bitterness of ethanol. I count that as a lucky find!
