Editorial Policy
How we curate 1665 venues across Armenia without paid placements or invented ratings
Dish.am aggregates restaurants, cafes, bars and bakeries in Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri and Vanadzor. Every listing follows the same curation standard: we verify addresses, phone numbers and opening hours manually, cross-reference Google Maps data, and never accept payment for inclusion or ranking. This page explains our conflict-of-interest rules, fact-check process, and how we handle ratings.
No Paid Placements
Restaurants cannot pay to appear on Dish.am or to rank higher in search results. We do not accept promotional fees, listing upgrades, or sponsored positions. Venues are included based on operational status, public accessibility, and relevance to our audience. If a business closes or changes ownership, we remove or update the entry within 72 hours of verification.
AggregateRating Standards
We display AggregateRating data only when a venue has 10 or more Google reviews. This threshold filters out statistically unstable scores and prevents single outlier reviews from skewing perception. We never generate, estimate, or extrapolate ratings using AI or editorial judgment. If a restaurant drops below 10 reviews, the AggregateRating disappears from its page until the count recovers.
Fact-Check Process
Before publishing or updating a listing, we verify core details against at least two independent sources: Google Maps, the venue's official social media, and direct phone contact when necessary. Opening hours, menu prices, and service formats are rechecked every 90 days. If conflicting information appears, we defer to the most recently confirmed data and note the verification date in our internal system.
Conflict of Interest
No Dish.am editor, writer, or developer may hold financial interest in any listed venue. We disclose any family or professional ties when they exist. Guest contributions are permitted only when the contributor has no commercial relationship with the subject. If a conflict emerges after publication, we append a disclosure note or reassign the content to an independent editor within 48 hours.
Coverage Criteria
We include venues that serve prepared food or beverages to walk-in customers in a dedicated space. This covers sit-down restaurants, cafes, bars, bakeries, and fast-casual spots. We exclude catering-only operations, private dining clubs, and delivery-exclusive kitchens unless they maintain a public pickup counter. Pop-ups and food trucks are tracked separately and marked with temporary status flags.
Corrections and Updates
Readers can report errors via the contact form or email. We investigate every correction request within 48 hours and publish updates within one week if the claim is substantiated. Major errors—wrong address, closed venue listed as open, incorrect price range—are corrected immediately. We maintain a changelog visible to internal staff and log all edits with timestamps and editor IDs.
